YOUTH WIND ORCHESTRA OF WISCONSIN

20 Years of outstanding music making

The Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin debuted in 2003. This year we will be celebrating our 20th season!

Created to complement and support high school bands throughout the southeast Wisconsin area, the Youth Wind Orchestra is a regional honors band that rehearses one evening per week during the regular school year (Thursdays). The Youth Wind Orchestra consists of highly motivated, talented high school students selected by audition for membership.

YWOW performs the highest quality repertoire available for high school bands. The ensemble is led by respected educators with a combined total of more than 65 years of teaching and directing experience throughout the United States and Europe.

The YWOW experience includes working with guest conductors, performing with guest artists, and performing works commissioned for the ensemble.

All rehearsals and concerts take place in the beautiful surroundings and acoustics of Shattuck Auditorium on the Carroll campus.
